I'm still digesting it so as to approach it rationally instead of emotinally, but overall I'm quite unhappy about it. I can see why they did it, but I think it was not only a bad business move (in the medium to short term) but also the wrong thing to do. I'm also hoping to gather a few more facts before writing a follow up piece. I no longer work for Red Hat, so have no internal insight into what happened, but after piecing things together I'm gaining confidence that I know what's going on. I'm very concerned about the company.
